"Propaganda. That's the word I was looking for earlier."
In all her exploits she had almost forgotten about the word. It seemed propaganda should have died with the age of technology, but as a matter of fact it only got worse the more information was spread through the airwaves and the net. What an interesting thing humans of the modern age are. Though they didn't stray too far away from the men she knew in her day.
The green glow coming from the stranger's eye didn't go unnoticed from Lady's field of vision, but she said nothing. Nor did she react to it as she looked over to Rose in the stroller who was starting to eat her own foot in its sock as Lady merely smiled over her.

Kazadus shifted his weight slightly, scratching the back of his neck as he mulled over Valandil’s warning. His eyes darted back to Lady, who seemed calm, unbothered, as if there wasn’t a glowing green eye staring at her from across the park.
“Well, no point in dancing around it,” he muttered, deciding to take the direct route. He looked her square in the eyes, his voice steady but casual.
“Don’t take this the wrong way, but... you’re a demon, right?”
Kazadus wasn’t sure what kind of reaction he was expecting, but she certainly wasn’t what he'd imagined when the word *demon* popped into his head. Valandil was usually on point, but there was always a first time for everything. Still, no reason to jump to conclusions before hearing her out.

Lady met the man's gaze and was secretly impressed by his ability to figure that out. Lady wasn't the traditional kind of demon by any means. Most demons were little more than animals who relish in the chaos and rage and the sin of mankind to make humans fall and bring them to hell. Lady just wanted to protect what was her precious to her. Like the baby sitting in the stroller now eating her right foot and sucking on it.
"Demon? Whatever do you mean?"
She would play dumb for now. As it wasn't something she confessed to out in the open like this. Most people wouldn't believe she was a demon anyway. But you never know when a hunter or even an angel might be lurking in the distance.

Kazadus glanced around to ensure no one else was watching, the park still relatively quiet. With a casual motion, he raised his hand, extending his index finger. A faint glow flickered to life at the tip, forming a small orb of light. It pulsed softly in the space between them, no threat implied—just a simple gesture. Then, just as quickly, it vanished.
He gave her a look that said he had nothing to hide.
“Look,” he said, leaning back slightly. “I’m not here to cause trouble. I’ve got a job tracking down off-worlders and superhuman troublemakers, but you seem peaceful. So, unless you’re planning to set the place on fire, you’re not my problem.”
Kazadus kept his tone neutral, but he couldn’t help the curiosity that lingered in his gaze. He wasn’t exactly dealing with a run-of-the-mill situation. "The name's Kazadus."

Lady watched as his eye glowed as she expected it had mere seconds earlier.
"You may want to get that checked," she said with mild amusement. A little tease and nothing more. As he explained himself and named himself Kazadus. An interesting and unique name. She merely nodded and smiled towards the young man. At least he was young when compared to her despite her outer appearance.
"Lady. And yes I am a demon, but I wasn't born that way. It's a long story."
One with many twists and turns and she doesn't share it with just anybody.
"My only concern is this baby. As long as nothing happens to her I won't have to bite."
And heaven and hell both knew that Lady had one sharp bite.

Kazadus frowned slightly at her remark about his eye, but a faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Yeah, well, I’ve had worse than a glowing eye," he quipped, shrugging off the tease.
When she introduced herself as Lady and admitted to being a demon—though not by birth—he gave a slight nod. Her story might be long, but he didn’t pry. It wasn’t his place to dig into pasts unless they were causing problems in the present. His gaze flickered to the baby in the stroller, then back to Lady.
“Only a bastard would hurt a kid,” he muttered, almost to himself.
For a brief moment, his mind drifted back to the task at hand, the strange darkness he’d encountered that still gnawed at him, unresolved. He wasn’t sure how much a demon—especially one like Lady—would know, but it couldn’t hurt to ask.
“There’s something else,” he began, his voice lowering a notch. “Couple of days ago, I ran into something... unnatural. Pitch black, like it was staring into a void. Felt it more than saw it. You ever come across anything like that?”

"Only a bastard would hurt a kid."
"I agree. Though not everyone who is after this child wants to hurt her."
Lady wouldn't allow the demons of hell to corrupt the child and turn her into something sick and twisted. Though at the same time nor did she want the child to become a pawn of God. Once Rose was of age to make her own life decisions Lady would respect whatever choice she made. But right now she was a mere infant and Lady's responsibility.
"I have seen a great many things in my lifetime. What you describe could be many things. A powerful demon. Some cosmic being. Maybe even an otherworlder. Without more to go on I couldn't be of much help."
